Mode of Action
DARTGLIP-M tablets are a combination of two anti- diabetic drugs. They work by different mechanisms & control high blood sugar levels when single therapy is not much more effective.
Teneligliptin: Belongs to a class of drug called as DPP4-inhibitors. It used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting the DPP4 enzyme (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4). DPP-4 is an enzyme inhibits the incretin effect i.e. (increase insulin release or decrease glucagon release from pancreas after a meal). By inhibiting the DPP4 enzyme Teneligliptin lowers the blood glucose level in the body by increasing the amount of insulin or decreasing the amount of glucagon.
Metformin: Belongs to a class of drug called as Biguanides. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by decreasing the glucose production by inhibiting gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis in liver. Metformin acts as an insulin sensitizer, enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing the hepatic & peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Precautions
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with DARTGLIP-20 & DARTGLIP-M tablets; it may cause serious damage to your kidneys, lungs, heart, and blood vessels.
Pregnancy
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Medicine
Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor.
Liver & Kidney
Should be used with caution in patients with liver & kidney disease.
