Composition
- Telmisartan 40mg + Amlodipine 5mg TAB
- Telmisartan 40mg + Amlodipine 5mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg TAB
Mode of Action
TELRING-AM is a combination of two anti-diabetic drugs namely Telmisartan or Amlodipine & TELRING-AMH is a combination of three antihypertensive drugs namely Telmisartan, Amlodipine or Hydrochlorothiazide.
Telmisartan: Belongs to a class of drug known as ARB’s (Angiotensin receptor blockers). It works by blocking the angiotensin receptors in heart & blood vessel, this result into vasodilatation & decrease in heart rate. This brings about the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Amlodipine: Belongs to a class of drug called as Calcium channel blockers. It is used to treat high blood pressure or to prevent angina. It decreases the blood pressure and reduces the workload of the heart by blocking the calcium channels present in heart or blood vessel which results into reduced cardiac contraction & reduced vasoconstriction, which helps in preventing heart attacks and strokes.
Hydrochlorothiazide: Belongs to a class of drug known as Thiazide diuretics. This medicine is used to treat hypertension. Hydrochlorothiazide works by preventing the reabsorption of sodium, chloride and fluid in DCT (Distal convoluted tube) in kidney (nephron) and removing the extra water & certain electrolytes from the body & thus reduces the excess fluid levels in the body and treats edema associated with heart or kidney disease. It also reduces vasoconstriction & improves blood flow.

Precautions
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with TELRING-AM & TELRING-AMH tablets; it may cause serious damage to your kidneys, lungs, heart, and blood vessels.
