Composition
- Alprazolam 0.25mg + Propranolol 20mg TAB
Mode of Action
ADULAX tablets are a combination of two drugs namely Alprazolam or Propranolol used in the treatment of anxiety.
Alprazolam: Belongs to a class of drug known as benzodiazepines, acts on the brain and nerves (central nervous system). It works by increasing the effects of GABA (gamma-amino butyric acid) a brain chemical to produce a calming & relaxing effect.
Propranolol: Belongs to a class of drug known as Beta blockers. It works by inhibiting the action of adrenaline on the beta receptor of heart and blood vessel & thus decreasing the heart rate & blood pressure.
