Composition
- Pantoprazole 40mg + Domperidone 30mg (SR) CAP
Mode of Action
PD-STAR is a combination of two drugs namely Pantoprazole or Domperidone used to treat GERD (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer, chronic gastritis.
Pantoprazole: Is a proton pump inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the Hydrogen-Potassium ATPase pump present on the inner lining of the stomach (helps in the production of acid in the stomach) & decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
Domperidone: Is an anti-sickness medicine used to treat nausea, vomiting (caused by certain drugs) or stomach pain. It mainly acts on the upper digestive tract & accelerate the gastric emptying by increases the movement of food through stomach and intestine.

PD-STAR reduces the symptoms of heartburn, vomiting/regurgitation by preventing the backward flow of acid from the stomach to esophagus.
