Composition
- Aceclofenac 100mg + Thiocolchicoside 4mg TAB
Mode of Action
RESTMOL-TH tablets are a combination of two drugs namely Aceclofenac or Thiocolchicoside used to treat skeletal muscle spasm, post surgical spasm, low back pain, sprain & strain etc.
Aceclofenac: Is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) an enzymes that helps to make prostaglandins (prostaglandins are produced at sites of injury or damage, and cause pain and inflammation) and thereby decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins & reducing pain & inflammation.
Thiocolchicoside: Is a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory & analgesic effects. It works by binding to GABA-A (g-amino butyric acid A) receptors & activating the GABA inhibitory pathways thereby behaving as a potent muscle relaxant which improves pain and movement of muscles.
