Composition
- Escitalopram 10mg TAB
- Escitalopram 10mg + Clonazepam 0.5mg TAB
Mode of Action
SATPAM-PLUS tablets are a combination of two drugs namely Escitalopram or Clonazepam used in the treatment of anxiety & depression.
Escitalopram: Belongs to a class of drugs called as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It is used to treat major depressive disorder or generalized anxiety disorder. It works by inhibiting the reuptake into neurons or restoring the balance of serotonin (natural substance) in the brain.
Clonazepam: Belongs to a class of drug known as Benzodiazepines, also known as anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. It is used to treat panic attacks as well as certain types of seizure disorders. It acts on the brain and nerves & increases the effects of a brain chemical GABA (gamma-amino butyric acid) to produce a calming & relaxing effect.

Precautions
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with SATPAM-10 & SATPAM-PLUS tablets; it may cause serious damage to your kidneys, lungs, heart, and blood vessels.
Pregnancy
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Medicine
Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor.
Liver & Kidney
Should be used with caution in patients with liver & kidney disease.
