VILDABOSS-M Tablets are a combination of two anti- diabetic drugs. They work by different mechanisms & control high blood sugar levels when single therapy is not much more effective.

Vildagliptin: Belongs to a class of drug called as DPP4-inhibitors. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting the DPP4 enzyme (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4). DPP-4 is an enzyme inhibits the incretin effect i.e. (increase insulin release or decrease glucagon release from pancreas after a meal). By inhibiting the DPP4 enzyme Vildaboss lowers the blood glucose level in the body by increasing the amount of insulin or decreasing the amount of glucagon.

Metformin: Belongs to a class of drug called as Biguanides. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by decreasing the glucose production by inhibiting gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis in liver. Metformin acts as an insulin sensitizer, enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing the hepatic & peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Lowering of blood glucose levels is an important part of managing diabetes mellitus. If anyone can control the level of glucose it will reduce the risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Proper control of diabetes can also reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
