To prevent cardiovascular events in patients with cardiac risk factors and abnormal lipid profiles.

Mode of Action

• ATORVASTATIN
  Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering agent (HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitor) which competitively inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase. By preventing the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate, statin medications decrease cholesterol production in the liver. Atorvastatin also increases the number of LDL receptors on the surface of hepatic cells.
• FENOFIBRATE
  Fenofibrate is FDA approved to treat patients with hypertriglyceridemia, primary hypercholesterolemia, or mixed dyslipidemia. It reduces low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL- C), total cholesterol, triglycerides, and apolipoprotein B and increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in adults.
